Raiding Rules
Everyone MUST have Teamspeak to raid, no if’s and’s or but’s well.. maybe if they are cute butts. Anyways! (note that a mic is not a must, but speakers/ears are, and also if you are hard of hearing please inform us and we can cater to your needs
)
Currently we are all using KLH Threat Meter, better known as KTM. Omen can be used if preferred, as threat data is now taken directly from the game and no longer depends on other players having the same add-on. Either way, you must have one of these to raid.
To reserve your spot on a raid use Group calandar (this can be found at curse, Linked on the main page of the website)
Don’t expect to talk much, or none at all, during raids. It get hectic real quick if we have 10 – 20 people yapping at the same time. We try and keep Chatting/talking down to a minimum unless what is being said is helpful to the raid in hand.
Listen to your Raid Leaders’ orders. We are all open to suggestions of course, but if we don’t go with your plan of doing stuff don’t get discouraged about it. Ten to one we have already done whatever we are raiding before and/or have tactics we are trying to use that work.
If you need to take a break during a raid, notify the raid in the raid channel. This will help people suddenly going afk while the rest of the group fights. We will try to give the whole raid a 5 minute break now and again, since we all gotta do what we gotta do. Having an ‘official’ break prevents people going afk individually when it can be helped.
Looting Rules.
We have made a set of rules that we think are fair and that should help all people who raid with Might and Magic. We have a Master Looter (ML) set for each raid. This is to prevent mistakes and to make sure that the loot goes to someone who is allowed to roll on the item.
When Bind on Pickup (BoP) loot drops we have two types of rolls: Primary and Secondary.
Primary rolls are like ‘need’ rolls: the item must be suitable for your mainspec. For example, plate with spell power would be for pally healers, or leather with spell power would be for a boomkin or a healing druid. A player may win a maximum of one primary roll per raid.
If no one rolls Primary, then the item is opened up for Secondary rolls. This is for anyone who can use the item for their offspec, or for those who have already won a Primary roll. Please use a little common sense, we won’t allow you to roll on it “as I need it to shard”. Obviously, the cloth item with spell power ideally goes to another spell user who wears leather, mail or plate. You may roll on as many Secondary rolls as you like, as long as we think the item is useful to you. Please don’t think you can pass on a primary roll to win on a secondary roll to “save” your primary roll for later.
No system is perfect, but if people play fair and honest and don’t try to abuse the system we have, we feel the whole guild can benefit from all of us gearing up better.
Usually the ML will announce who can roll on an item, but if you feel the ML has not announced it correctly please feel free to say so. I know it’s hard to believe that Wozzie, Cos, Ivars or anyone else can make mistakes, but it is always a deliberate mistake to test the other raid members to make sure everyone is still awake. Honest.
EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULES
Rolls for tokens, recipies, mounts, primorial saronite, etc, do not count as your primary roll. This means that everybody who can use the item, can roll.
Gear tokens (for tier items): everybody who can use it, can roll. However, please keep in mind that you may need many emblems before you can use the token. If you think you won’t be able to use the token within a week, please pass so that someone else can get an upgrade. Remember that this will help you get further in the next run! It would also be nice if you don’t roll for tokens if you’re only wanting them for offspec. Let those who need it for mainspec roll first.
Patterns: anyone who can use these and is willing to make the item for guildies, can roll. First it goes to crafters who are actually in the raid, then to alts of those who are in the raid. If nobody in the raid can use the pattern, it will be placed in the guild bank to be given to someone who can.
Bind on Equip (BoE) items: these will be classed as BoP items for Primary rolls. If the item is not needed on a Primary roll, then a raid roll will be done by the ML.
